The company can have a form, phone and instant messenger. If you add up all the clicks on the buttons, you get the number of actions, not the number of customers. One person could call and then send a file through the form.
Name the main event
Successful submission of the form, the call and the dialogue started are different signals. Set up a measurement of each, then check with the inquiries that the sales team actually received. Calls may require a separate login service; don’t think of just clicking as a conversation.
Remove replays from the report
If one project came through two channels, in management accounting it is one possibility. Note the service, region and result of primary qualification. For ad analysis, it is useful to store the inquiry path but not overstate the number of unique customers.
Check the shape
Some automatically configured goals may even count an attempt to send if the fields are incorrectly filled. For an important form, check that the goal matches a successful event and the letter does arrive.
